It was bitter cold and the first place trophy was the last to be awarded but it was worth the wait!

April 14

Long Island Cars All Makes Car Show

Hagerman Fireman's Park
E. Patchogue, NY

Second Place
Unfortunately we were placed into a category loaded with Cobras, Saleens, Camaros, Firebirds, and even Corvettes! However, for a Lincoln to place second ahead of all those great cars is quite an accomplishment. A Saleen Mustang edged us out and it was a gorgeous car!

Sadly we were mis-informed by the show organizers. This was a street rod show and we, as well as nearly 100 others, were not even judged. There were many upset people on this day!

This show there are no classes so we were up against over 300 cars, mostly Chevrolet and other GM products. The top cars were awarded Judge's Choice trophys. Only three cars out of 300 received a perfect score and we were one of the three. A great show and a great award. Click here for pictures.

October 6 Lions Club Car Show Bald Hill

Oh what a fiasco! I'm sorry to report that we were in a class along with brand new 2002/2003 cars as well as modifieds. We finished 3rd place behind a 2002 Corvette with 200 mi. on it and a brand new Mercedes Konpressor. The show organizers had no clue how to class cars.

November 3

Belmont Racetrack Fall Classic

A few hundred cars and a bright sunny day (although a bit cold,) what more could you ask for at the final show of the season.
November 29, 30, December 1 Long Island Custom Car Show Nassau Coliseum
Uniondale, NY
First Place
Actually we finished First in Class for Stock and Second overall in the class behind a veavily modified Camaro. The classifications were a bit confusing because they didn’t separate stock and modified. This was a big three day show, over 375 cars and every one a great car.
